After driving a corsa for 3years i decided it was about time to get a proper car... after looking around for a while along came this :

Came with 67k on the clock, an Apexi FMIC, an Apexi cat back exhaust and a front strut brace.
(De-spoilered before any pictures were taken)

Couldnt stand having no ipod input...

The brakes barely slowed the car down so replaced the disks and pads, unfortunately with standard ones, will get upgraded in the future. While i had the brakes apart i cleaned up the caliper and gave it a coat of paint :

Sprayed the wheels black :

More to come :)
Thanks for looking, Miles.

Yea its a really clean example, no rust apart from one really small patch in the rear arch which i will be sorting out very soon. The paintwork has seen better days, has some fade and lacquer peel, but i am planning to get her sprayed in the future. Increadibly pleased with the upgrade from the corsa.

So it turns out the decat i baught from japspeed is about an inch and a half shorter than the cat.... unsure what to do now, will a japspeed downpipe cure this? as i was planning on getting one anyway would make it alot easier than the hastle of returning this...
any help is apreciated :)

EDIT : found out about the diference between the 14 and 14a and will be buying an elbow and downpipe to sort it.

So the car has always had a slight VVT rattle... and i know this is nothing to worry about unless it starts to sound like a tracktor... but now a new rattle has developed. It only happens when in gear and goes on and off throughout the rev range. Its a loud high pitched rattle and has been getting worse and worse since it started a few days ago. One of the mechanics where i work thinks its the release bearing, which means i have to get it into a garage to get sorted as i dont have the equipment to get the gearbox off... just wondering, will this cause any damage to any other components atall? or should it be ok to drive with it like this until payday?

I'm not entirely sure but if the release bearing fails, it will most likely just not engage or disengage the clutch. It shouldn't damage anything.

Massive lack of updates... but not all that much has happened to the car as ive spent all my money on fuel and tyres just enjoying the thing :P the rattles in the engine have all been fixed, new clutch and using a decent oil has really made a difference. Managed to fix a boost leak which seems to have caused another one somewhere else i think as she now has a bad hessitation just after hitting full boost, other thaughts are a fueling issue.. will replace a few parts and see how she runs. The car is now running with the pigeon mod, which makes it sound awesome. :P As soon as anything interesting happens il put a load more pictures up... everyone loves pictures.

Looking good mate. Keeping it cheap is the way forward. Check out my build on here if i totalled everything up what ive spent on it including buying the car i recond it would be less then 6k and its got carbon bonnet, rota grids, full cage, full respray etc. Shop around for parts and try do as much as you can on ur own.

Looks good, where did you get the rear tow eye from?

Its a Tegiwa one :)
