FIXIE - Fixed gear road bike

CH1EF

MASSIVE
for sale I have my fixie, its EXTREMELY lightweight;

1979 Top of the range Carlton frameset, was orginal spec and hardly used upto a year ago when I got it.
Shaved frame mounts but kept derailer hanger and brake mounts if you wanted to go back to gears/singlespeed
Bottom bracket to top tube = 600mm
top tube length = 560mm
currently setup perfectly for myself at 5ft10

Shimano forged 170mm cranks
1 sided pedals
Weinman 700cc rims
Maillard hubs (recently serviced)
New inner tubes
Schwalbe Bizzard sport tyres
Custom stem
Fizi:K Saddle
New yellow hardcore chain

The bike is in perfect working order, the frame and forks are painted by hand to give a retro feel and is in no way a perfect sprayed job! The bikes absolutely fly's, it is geared with usability in mind as I have alot of hills around me, but it will still run 30mph

I am after £180+15 postage

based in Bristol, come along for a test ride!

lol, you hang your big balls off the back onto the back wheel :D

When it had gears I had gps verified 49.8mph out of it on standard gearing :D but that was with brakes!

Admittedly it doesn;t slow that quickly (or at all on a steep hill) but thats all part of the thrill

pretty cool, riding with no brakes is awesome too, plus its not like you actually need to stop a bike ever, just alternate between road/pavement depending whats clear:D

cool bike! free bump! off topic i got clocked at 42mph coming down a hill on a bmx with no brakes by the guards!

See, no brakes makes a straight bit of road just that bit more fun! you guys have got it :D

Just gone and weighed the bike. its 8.5Kg
