EDIT: Now with possible delivery option and p/x considered

Ok just chucking this up here quickly, in the hope someone buys it and saves me the bother of spending time doing a proper ad :D

I bought this off Phil Morrison, what, 2yrs ago? Since then I've dry stored it (in a barn, under a perambulator garage) When Phil advertised it I couldnt resist, something like this comes along once! My intention was, when I had some spare, to spend cash on it and do up the interior. As it was low down the priority list and as if often the case with these things I never had the 'spare cash' that wasnt being spent elsewhere. Well I've got to free up some cash and so with a lot of sadness I've got to think about selling:

Its a 1975 Datsun 260c (Cedric) Its the rare sort after model too (you'll see lots of variations, this is the best looking in a cool retro way :smokin: ) The bodywork is in fantastic condition, especially when you consider the year! There are a few rust bubble showing, most noticeably on the front corner of the bonnet. However the paint hasnt broken so its not that bad. There is a scuff on the front wing near this rust. So if you were going to be fussy you could just have that front corner sprayed and kill 2 birds with one stone

I've just had the wiring, switch box and all new switches professionally fitted too. The hydraulics work as they should and all the batteries are inside on a battery conditioner so in tip top condition. As I said its been sat for a while, however we gave it a service, changed the fuel, replaced the main battery and it started no problem :smokin: I took it for an MOT a month or so ago and it failed, but only on 2 of the front ball joints. So its going to go back on the road very easily.

There is quite a bit of paperwork including magazines where the car has had some full features done on it. Apparently its famous in the UK Lowrider scene?

Right, the interior? Does need a bit of TLC. It could be done on the cheap by sticking some of the velour back on and buying some seat covers (leopard skin or alike :D ) Alternatively you could invest a bit more and have the whole thing re-trimmed :smokin:

Price wise its a toughy, valuing something this unique is difficult. If no-one buys it on here soon I'll put it on Ebay and see what she gets. As an indication I noticed this Datsun Lowrider go on Ebay a while back. And this one isnt as nice on the outside, although the interior is in better shape. So overall that is what it would be worth on the road. Here's the link to that car: eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

So for a quick sale I'm going to let someone have a bargain. £3k and its yours!!

For this price I want minimum agravation

I've hardly driven it so not sure. It weighs alot due to all the underbody strenghening, protection etc (it was done properly!) Its a 2.6 6 cylinder so its not going to be fantastic to be honest - having said that compared to your Rotary it will be superb on fuel :p

Ill have you know, my 13b is fan-fdukin'-tastic on fuel ;) I get infinity mpg (being that its in pieces in the garage :wack: )

If I didnt have such a drive for work, id bite your arm off for this!

amazing, this wont be around for long!

Don't say that, seriously, I'm not just saying this to help my sale, I really will be absolutely gutted to see this go  Just got to much to pay out for and this is the only thing I can sell to generate the cash

Something I didnt mention, its got this damper setup on the rear shelf?? Its so you can drive it with the thing right on the deck, gives you a bit of damping when you're on the stops :smokin: It looks very cool cruising down a motorway with it riding literally mm's off the road :smokin: Its got scuff plates underneath to help protect too

This is such a super cool car, they really went to town with the conversion. The only thing it was lacking when Mark bought it was proper professional electrics which Mark has now done. Whoever buys this will be instantly famous on the Lowrider scene as it's so well known with all it's history.

Yu couldn't chuck up some engine bay, boot pics, rear interior?

And also a new pic of the outside?

Cheers mark

MarkTurbo: I can do but don't hold your breath, the car is stored about 80miles away from my home, I hope it will be sold before I'm likely to be able to get those pictures :o The engine bay is nothing out of the ordinary, there's a lot of room in there even with the 6cyl. Boot is full of hydraulics and the rear is pretty much the same as the front. The exterior is as the pictures I've posted. You can even see the scrape I mentioned in my first post, on the passenger side front wing.

FreddieS: Yes, its not as simple as popping along to your nearest Halfords, but there are specialists such as Datman and lots over in Oz etc if he can't help. Usually if you can be bothered to sort it yourself going direct to places in Oz is the cheapest. I've got the details somewhere of a good one in Oz willing to ship to the UK. If you want to save yourself hassle and introduce a middleman Datman is very good, you'll just pay more. Having said all that I'm sure most of the parts will be interchangeable with other more common Datsun models?

that is awesome! proper pimp :) would snap this up if i didnt have a money pit s13....good luck with the sale

that's alright just found phils old thread where theres pics of under the bonnet and the boot. Would you consider getting the ball joints sorted and mot'd if the money was right? What's the mileage on the car?

Really like the car, just off to get a guestamit on full interior retrim black velour

Black velour would look :smokin:

I would 'consider' doing that, but I'd have to take a deposit off you first (on the condition I get the BJ's and MOT) And if I'm honest, if in the mean time someone comes along with £3k and wants it as is, I'm going to take it. Sorry if it sounds like I'm being an @rse, I just don't want to go through the hassle/cost based just on someone expressing interest shown on an internet forum :o Ideally I just want someone to come along with £3k and take it away as is. The reason I was 'giving' it away so much cheaper than it seems I would get on Ebay, was based on the extent of my effort being posting off the log book :D
