EDIT: Now with possible delivery option and p/x considered
Ok just chucking this up here quickly, in the hope someone buys it and saves me the bother of spending time doing a proper ad
I bought this off Phil Morrison, what, 2yrs ago? Since then I've dry stored it (in a barn, under a perambulator garage) When Phil advertised it I couldnt resist, something like this comes along once! My intention was, when I had some spare, to spend cash on it and do up the interior. As it was low down the priority list and as if often the case with these things I never had the 'spare cash' that wasnt being spent elsewhere. Well I've got to free up some cash and so with a lot of sadness I've got to think about selling:
Its a 1975 Datsun 260c (Cedric) Its the rare sort after model too (you'll see lots of variations, this is the best looking in a cool retro way ) The bodywork is in fantastic condition, especially when you consider the year! There are a few rust bubble showing, most noticeably on the front corner of the bonnet. However the paint hasnt broken so its not that bad. There is a scuff on the front wing near this rust. So if you were going to be fussy you could just have that front corner sprayed and kill 2 birds with one stone
I've just had the wiring, switch box and all new switches professionally fitted too. The hydraulics work as they should and all the batteries are inside on a battery conditioner so in tip top condition. As I said its been sat for a while, however we gave it a service, changed the fuel, replaced the main battery and it started no problem I took it for an MOT a month or so ago and it failed, but only on 2 of the front ball joints. So its going to go back on the road very easily.
There is quite a bit of paperwork including magazines where the car has had some full features done on it. Apparently its famous in the UK Lowrider scene?
Right, the interior? Does need a bit of TLC. It could be done on the cheap by sticking some of the velour back on and buying some seat covers (leopard skin or alike ) Alternatively you could invest a bit more and have the whole thing re-trimmed
Price wise its a toughy, valuing something this unique is difficult. If no-one buys it on here soon I'll put it on Ebay and see what she gets. As an indication I noticed this Datsun Lowrider go on Ebay a while back. And this one isnt as nice on the outside, although the interior is in better shape. So overall that is what it would be worth on the road. Here's the link to that car: eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
So for a quick sale I'm going to let someone have a bargain. £3k and its yours!!
For this price I want minimum agravation
