Bon Bon
It'll be fine
Breaks my heart to do this, but I'm getting stress from all directions, I'm in masses of debt, I can't afford to get to events and when I do it'll suck anyway because I won't have time to practise. So, my new car is for sale.
Speclist...
Mint E36 318i as the origin.
S50 B30 M3 3 litre engine, 286bhp stock, the bottom end has gone, need to strip down the engine to see how bad it is, but it should be repairable. If not then I can source a replacement engine for you. The exhaust manifolds are worth at least £350 alone, the head must be worth £400, and I can get you a new engine for about that much. I can get a replacement engine right now, but it's a bare engine, so no manifolds etc to duplicate and sell.
Eibach Pro Street coilovers, really fucking handles. It needs tracking as there's waaay too much toe in at the back end.
M3 3 litre gearbox, close ratio job with direct drive 5th.
Welded diff, 3.38 ratio, will do about 65 in 2nd gear. I've not timed it but I reckon it'd be looking at the 5 second mark for 60, it'll do 165-170 top end.
Completely stripped out, stock 318 weighs about 1250kg, and you should feel how heavy all the matting and seats etc were in it! Ridiculous, dunno how much weight it's lost, but it's lost a LOT.
Sparco Evo 2 seats, really bloody good seats, want to keep one really but the car is better with two.
Satin black paintjob, took me AAGES to do, but looks excellent now. I'll even throw in a couple of cans for touchups on stonechips etc. haha
Reiger Infinity sideskirts, similar to M3 twister style but a bit more beefy looking.
Seidl rear bumper.
Stock front bumper, I had a couple of cool front bumpers on order to match the rest of the kit, I'll point you in the direction of the supplier if you want one.
Nardi 'look' (ish) steering wheel, 3 spoke alloy job, quite small and chunky.
Golfball gearknob...pimp. haha
It needs the bottom end sorting, and an exhaust, as I had to borrow one for Snetterton. I have a standard 3.2 Evo rear section, so all you need to get made up is straight piped up to it. The rear section has mahoosive silencers on it so it will be just fine with the straight pipe. With this exhaust setup, a well insulated intake and a remap, you'll be looking at 300-310hp.
You have no idea how much blood, sweat and tears have gone into this car, it's so close to completion, but my plans are falling apart, I'm stressed out over it, and it's not going to come together in the rose tinted spectacles way I had hoped it would.
I've spent £3500 on the car and bits and peices (seats, wheels, etc), nevermind all the massive amount of man hours that have gone into it, the use of space and tools etc Moffatt has been so cool over, the help beyond the call of duty from Clarkey and Ant to get it ready for Snetterton, I think we worked until 4am or something.
So badly want to keep it, it's just tearing me apart being stuck at home with no transport, debt over my head, arguing with my parents about it all constantly, it's not worth the aggro. Look to see me in the 2006 season, until then I think I'll just play about in whatever car I have.
Open to offers, don't take the piss though because I'll probably flip out or something. lol This car is fucking fun, compared to Moffatt's 400bhp+ M Coupe I really couldn't tell that much of a difference, properly fast and lightweight.
