This is my current drift car which I bought to replace my volvo 340 as it didn't have enough power, now I want more power again, I'm looking to move to an e36 325 so the compact is for sale.
It's the 16-valve version which means it's the same engine as the 318is, it would be an ideal starter car for someone who wants to get into drifting and wants to learn how to drift and initiate properly without just relying on big power. It has been to santapod 3 times and ran well all three times, it can comfortably skid in 2nd gear in the dry and third gear, maybe even 4th if you're brave, in the wet. It is located just outside of Cambridge (CB25) and my mobile number is 07982802549 any questions just ask.
The car is currently road legal and I have been driving it every day, if you turn up with insurance you can tax it and drive away so no trailor needed. If you don't fancy the sound of driving a lowered, stripped out car with a welded diff home (maybe you're a bit soft?) then I can arrange delivery at an extra cost or you can pick it up with a trailer yourself.
The car will come with 5 steel wheels with 4 good road legal tyres.
The price is 600ovno but there could be a discount for anyone who can take it away this week (before the 6th).
If I don't get what I want for it before the MOT runs out I will keep it and break it.
Good bits:
Jom coilovers, height adjustable front and rear
Stripped out front and rear, rear wiper removed, all speakers and stereo removed, electric windows and central locking are still attached and in full working condition.
m42 16valve engine - 140bhp
Welded diff
One of the front engine mounts has been replaced, by me, in the last month and I have a spare for the other one, it probably wants doing to preserve symmetry etc, I will do this if I have time.
Some spares - standard springs, wheel nuts, engine mount, oil filter, maybe some drift rubber.
Bad bits:
usual small ammounts of rust for a BMW of this age.
No tax
Not much MOT - use the little MOT to drive it home then use it as a track/skid car?
Bodged headlight - still works just doesn't look pretty.
Dented passenger side front wing - drift scars, yo.
