FOR SALE : SR20DET, needs rebuild

I bought this from eBay for the T28. The rest of it is now just cluttering up my garage!

It came with loads of bits, all of which are included. Everything I got, EXCEPT the T28 is included.

As I haven't touched the engine since sticking it in my garage, I have no idea what's wrong with it. Here's what the eBay auction said :

This is a Nissan SR20-DET engine from a S14 200SX.

I bought the car with what I was told was a blown turbo. After a heafty bill to get the turbo rebuilt and replaced, the engine still did not run right. It Idles fine, but as soon as you use boost it pressurises the crankcase and blows the oil out the breathers.

It does idle (slight tickover noise from the top end).
It does hold oil pressure.
But on boost it suffers from excessive blow-by.
My mechanic diagonsed broken rings. The head has not been removed so I cannot verify this. We ended up buying a complete engine and turbo and bolting it all in.

Good points:

Complete engine - with both manifolds, alternator, starter motor, air con etc.
Brand New turbo (<20 miles use) - I have the rebuild reciept (360 bearing etc).

Bad points:

Needs rebuild as desbribed above.
Accessories have been removed.
Been standing in the corner of my shed for 2 years.

It still had it's oil in it when we collected it - it dumped it all over the back of the van!

Not looking for top dollar for this, just want rid of it - I need the cash!!

I don't know how much the right price would be - hence the offer thing!!

I've had a few PMs from people interested, I would say wack whatever you're prepared to pay in as an offer and the best secures? Is that fair? It's a bit auctiony, but I haven't had time to research how much broken SR20s go for!!
 
that's absolutely fine :)
I'll see if he wants it and get him to send an offer across. He has my old SR20 which has a sweet bottom end but a cracked head, so this might be an ideal donor engine for that
 
i was planning on having it myself but missed it, as couldnt get to a comp.. But im sure we can sort a deal out....:thumbs:
