Mazda Mx5 2006 mk3
Chassis on 86,300 miles, however this will rise as I'm still using the car occasionally
Engine
2.0 mzr closed deck alloy block
Forged H beam rods rated at 800hp
Arp rod bolts
Cylinders had a fresh hone
New Nc2 fully floating pistons
Fresh King bearings
Fresh oem mazda headbolts and headgasket
Fresh set of genuine bosch ev14 injectors
Schedule 10 twinscroll tube manifold
Genuine mitsubishi evo 10 turbocharger
Genuine tial wastegate vented back into downpipe
Custom 3" turbo back exhaust
With sports cat, it's actually fairly quiet, but wakes up when revved
Engine went through a 700mile break-in process on miller's break-in oil
It's done a further 600 miles since now run on 5w40 castrol Edge
Oil and water have both stayed dead on max this whole time, very healthy engine
It dyno'd at 300bhp and 270lb-ft I do have the print out, this was 12psi, boost cut is set to 14psi, very reliable power level!
Drivetrain
6 speed gearbox with fresh oil
Competition stage 3 clutch
Factory lsd with fresh oil
Chassis
Bc racing coilovers, not very old, all collars still adjust freely
17x8 rota's wheels wrapped in falken tyres
Body
MK3.75 front end conversion, not a cheap conversion to do, this was at a cost of £1,000
Few minor marks, however overall good condition
When I purchased the car the underside was showing some signs of slight surface rust, affected areas were wire wheeled back to bare metal, then rust treated and re-under sealed
Very solid shell which is unusual for these, no holes or welded areas
In absolutely no rush to sell, happy to keep enjoying the car
I'm advertising the car for £7,000 which I think is excellent value for money when you consider bbr charge £7,500 to turbocharge an MX5 to this power level, which doesn't include the car or even a forged engine
