Although I am very new myself, what I have gathered over the last couple days is that with those models, most professionals put in a v8 engine to get 600+ horsepower and then they add a turbo charger to it to produce ridiculous amounts of torque. Most guys never have to shift out of 2nd gear and they control their RPM's in every turn. Of course this is at a professional level. You'll need a roll cage, lots of tires, and expect your car to take bumps.
