stock s14 wheels are 16's and they didnt clear but it also depends on offset... i now run 17x10 et25 but i have extended the bottom arms and modded the tops so i didnt need spacers...
 
As a rule to fit 18s!?

Hope they clear my 17x9j et25 grids... Actually come to think about it, they cleared Hudson. 37s so should :)
 
Yep, its not an issue for 99% of people fitting them :)
You have to bare in mind that people take whatever we say SO literally, I have to say 18".
 
hi kam just wondering what modifications you are talking about to make them fit under a smaller wheel, there for my corolla running a s14 front suspension set up, what would limit the fitments exactly.

If you think about what the hubs do, you're dropping the entire hub/lower arm 50mm.
So, everything moves closer.

I've got a customer using them with 15" wheels, he ground down the spindle/castle nut and roll centre spacer to get clearance.
 
Yeah 17s are fine if you're running stock bottom arms and not an unusually-low-clearance wheel, I've got 17s on mine :)
