Hey,

Got one of these from ye a while back and fitted with no hassle. Just wondering, in the instructions it says to mount the solenoid with the open port facing downwards, is there any specific reason for this?

On mine i have the open port facing sideways, would this make any difference at all? I know you might just say follow the instructions but ive seen others mounted this way and just hoping ye can clarify?

It's so that no water/stuff/etc goes in there since it would stuff the solenoid.

Would it be ok to just block it then?

Nope it needs to vent for it to work, could make up a little filter or something if you wanted

Had a look inside the opening and there is some mesh in there already so that might be enough to block any stuff getting in there and its mounted where no water should get near it so itll be grand.
