Golf Mk3 Cabrio 2JZ Swap! (Possible?)

Hey there,

First of all. I'm all new to the forums of Driftworks and I've been reading all kinds of awesome builds and stories! I'm a Volkswagen fan and I love the 2JZ engine. So your thoughts may already thinking what I'm about to say. I want a Golf Mk3 Cabrio with a 2JZ swap. This may sound crazy but I want to see if this is possible. So there are a few things I need to know. And that is how big is the 2JZ engine by itself and the transmission. And yes. It will be converted to RWD (Wich going to be a hard time). Why not say that the whole build is going to be a hard time! I'm only seeing if this is possible. And no, the 2JZ or the Mk3 Cabrio aren't here. (I wish). I hope one of you can help me!

Greetings,
Bono.

Anything is possible...I've never done one before so don't take my comments seriously but Things I would consider:

Transmission tunnel will need to be made. Prop tunnel too
Rear subframe from somthing rwd will need to be mounted, fuck knows what's involved in that.

Front subframe to hold/support the engine and another type of steering rack as the vw on will be in the way, maybe even front hubs too...

Allot of measuring to do, allot of fabrication to do and allot of money to be spent on such a project. But I'm sure if that's your dream car it would be worth it.

And it's obviously been done before

You'd have to cut the bulkhead as the jz is about a foot longer than anything vw put in the bay.
If you want a 2j put it in a car worthy of a 2j not a convertible golf.
