Good starter car.

I'm looking to get into drifting.
I have an everyday car so this will purely be a toy.
As its my first one I don't want to spend to much and would rather stay away from the BMW's (Fancy something different) MX5 would be too small for me although I've heard a great starter car.

I was looking at either 740 or 940 Volvo's (Why not start big ;) )

Any recommendations would be great.
 
best advice i can give is to try and not be different. you'll spend loads more money and own a shitter car than if you just followed the crowd.

so just stop being a sausage and buy a bmw like everyone else.
 
I'm building my drifter from scratch with old parts from my 1980 drag mustang and some shit from the junk yard. The greatest part about building from scratch is the unlimited potential. You can take the best part of every car you like and combine them. Just gotta be a fairly good welder lol

Old pickup trucks with aftermarket suspension work for me, the skilled American mystery driver. A Ford F100 for instance. Long and nose heavy. Good for tail- whipping. Weld up the rear end and do you some mad skids
