Joined the forum some time back to help with my (very long and drawn out) track car build I've been doing with my Dad (it's a 328i Coupe in case you were interested) but haven't posted anything until now (poor form I know...sorry!). The initial plan was to just do track days with the car but last weekend my Dad and I both went on a drifting taster session to see whether we liked it or not - now I've got a taste for it!
I don't know if we'll want to use the 328i solely for drifting so we may end up compromising on setup to allow us to do track days as well as a bit of drifting. I also have a Eunos Roadster daily driver which I use in the summer which could be abused as well. We'll just have to see how things go!
Looking in the local area (Surrey/Hants) there don't seem to be any places to do drifting so I'm thinking about looking to see if I can set something up myself (I need to practice somehow as I'm terrible at the moment!). Has anyone had any experience in setting up drift practice events? Any tips on what might be involved or what problems I might come up against if I was try and sort something out?
