that looks really nice! I'd never have thought a chunky 5 spoke would work, but they really suit it!
What management are you running/planning on running?
Also I'd put the rear of the bonnet down, that actually increases pressure and hinders airflow from under the bonnet as opposed to help, a turbo blanket would be a better idea if you're worried about temps

Not running any management at all just running stock ECU with timing retarted 6degres before tdc would look into management at some stage very expensive tho

If your handy with wires you can pick up a mega squirt for sub £300 as you'll really struggle to get 200bhp without standalone, even an emanage blue would struggle to get to 200.
Best of luck though!

Are you still running the carbon canister, can get rid of that right away.

You might wanna look at removing the PCV valve too, they can't hold boost and you might be leaking boost into the cam cover using that

How much boost is it running, the Vortec unit can't handle much more than about 5psi IIRC.

Carbon canister? Pcv valve

Running .7- .8 goes well just want it to go abit better lol

Doesn't really matter what you've got it'll need mapping, even just running an afpr you'll still need to adjust it using an far gauge which is in a way 'mapping' although much less accurate
At least with mega squirt you'll be able to get a relatively genetic map and adjust it to suit.
The difference between running on an afpr or a piggyback/standalone is night and day.

see i live in Northern irealnd and last time i looked into management i heard i would have to go to england to get it mapped so thats another reason why i didnt get it done as there was no1 to map it over here but its seriously hard on fuel need to do something lol

No chance! The amount of nice cars coming out of Ireland and the fact it has its own drift series says to me there must be plenty of tuners over there, find a local reputable tuner and see what they recommend, no point buying megasquirt if your local tuner won't work with it. Have you tuned it with an AFR yet?

Edit: quick google returned this, it may be over 5 years old, but I'm sure there will be plenty of places still open to support what you need, find one you trust/near/cheap whatever's for you and talk to them about what they recommend. A lot of FI mx5s use MS because its so cheap and user friendly that with a bit of research and common sense you can do a lot of the work yourself then usually get someone to fine tune your base map which means less time on the dyno/road which means less time your paying for!

No mate havent had any afr work or anything at all done the turbokit was fitted and timinig was set thats about it then hardpipe

no wonder, its probably throwing away fuel for fun atm and overfueling. Get an AFR gauge in there and have a play around with the AFPR until you're getting a decent reading, although depending on which AFPR you've got depends how it will run.

I'd also suggest you run through this before going much further, you dont wanna do your engine any damage

yeah mate its definatly using too much Fuel i no that the exhaust is black aswell lol i really need to get it sorted it tho i dont think it will be doing damage as its done 20.000 hard miles turbod of the road for the bad weather at the minute so plenty of time to sort it all out i think iv fallen in love with Grid Drifts aswell so might have to get a set :)

Wana fit the oil cooler to this this week any idea about mounting it outside the front bumper and how legal it is?seen it on net and think looks pretty cool

How the hell has that thing covered 20,000miles at 8psi on just an afpr and no intercooler??

looks good either way,get some management on it though. It will be worth it.
