GT vs GT350R

New to the site here! I'm wanting to buy a car and make it my drifting project. I love all types of cars, from an AE86 to a Mustang. I'd like to buy something newer, has nothing to do with quality or durability, just a preference. My question being, that if I buy a car to use as a drift project, would it make sense to buy a GT350R (hypothetically speaking) over a standard GT? If so, drop some knowledge on me as to why or why not.

Thanks!

Judging by your name, you could possibly be 23?
Only just out of school holidays then ;)

Not really familiar with mustangs, but unless there is a massive difference in engine/suspension design, probably not

Im still with danfst. So much random crap on here at the moment. Firstly wagner, to help, this is mostly a UK based forum so 99% of people probably havent even seen a mustang on the road, let alone be able to decide the pros and cons of a 350 over a 350R. If you have that much money to spend on a toy just get the better one, or, better yet, actually learn to drift first, and then decide which expensive new car you want to stick in a wall.

As MaccyD said, this is a UK site so the question doesn't really apply.

If you have the cash and you want something to drift, if you have that kind of budget just buy something already built.
