We have just added these cool looking, open ended steel wheel nuts to our shop to give you guys a little more variety when choosing nuts for your new (or old) wheels. They're strong, look great and come in packs of 20 and also include a 17mm deep socket to make fitting them nice and easy. Available in both M12x1.5 for MX5s and most other cars or M12x1.25 for Nissan etc.

We have them in stock in the very funky NEO CHROME, and also black, red and blue
We've discounted them on the shop from the RRP of £45 to £41.39 for Neo Chrome and £39.98 for red, blue and black - This price is for 20 nuts and a socket.

You can buy them here - GT50 Open ended wheel nuts

How would these compare to your internal drive wheel nuts? I dont expect them to be indestructible but if im taking them on and off constantly id need to know they'll take the abuse.

I've had them on and off with an impact gun roughly 40 times while flaring the arches on my JZX110 and they seem to handle the abuse really well. If you want to keep the finish then you shouldn't use an impact gun at all really, but that's the same for any posh wheelnut with a nice finish. I've got to say they also make spinning the wheelnut on by hand in the first instance really easy. I'm really happy with them.

what is wrong with the internal ones? i've been using them for 4 years. probably had them on and off the rear about 1000 times, had 1 get stuck on but that was probably more my fault, and it had been on the front done up really tight for about 2 years. and i ringed the internal bit because i was being a dick and not concentrating.

these look nice but the face you can un do them with a normal deep socket is a bit poo.

There's nothing wrong with the internal drive wheelnuts we sell. They are also excellent. These are just a different option that don't require a special key (which IMO is necessary for a comp car as you don't want to be fishing for a lost key in the middle of a 5 minute rule wheel change), they can be easily spun on with your fingers so you don't cross threads, and that's not forgetting that they look pretty awesome to boot.
