heat wrap

wouldnt recomend it man its very hard to know because if your gonna be driving hard hitting high temps the heat cant escape from manifold and it inturn gets britol and disintegrates like mine did so fabricate a bolt on alumiun heat shield id say.

We can get it but it's NOT cheap, how much do you need??

I've been told if you fit it correctly by wetting it etc and your manifold etc is 100% sealed then it doesn't go brittle and break off, by the way. That's how I've fitted mine and it seems fine so far.

Any links to explain/show hows best to fit it Bondor?

Well, from what I've been told by a few people now... wet it good, wrap it tightly, tie it well, make sure you get full or as near as full coverage as possible with a sensible overlap and make sure you get some heat into it when it's damp to make it 'shrink to fit' over the manifold. That's how I was told, anyway, everybody pointed and laughed at me when I fitted dry wrap...

Im scared that the manifold will disintergrate rather than the heat wrap itself.

Ive seen that happen before, manifold started to blow, to remove heat wrap, and there wasnt actually a manifold underneath anymore, lol.

Sucks too as I want/need to heatwrap the manifolds I have.

Thing is tho, how common is this, or is this a rare thing thats turned into another myth like dumpvalves...?

I think im willing to try n find out...

I'd like some of this shizzle too - and I want a whole bunch of steel tie wraps if you can get some of those please :D

Let me know how much dollah you want.

Don't bother on the 328 dude, it's not necessary, but probably a couple of rolls since it's an N/A manifold and longer.
