Hello!... Again!

Hello!... again! It's been a long time since I've been on here but I'm showing up again. I was on here previously with my R32 4 door with a 2 door rear end conversion (linked in the signature below). That car was my baby, I'd bought it in Japan as it originally was, a GTE (RB20E). I converted it to GTS-t running gear and customized it completely myself. I had it 4 years in Japan and then 6 years in the UK before I had to move and sadly sell it. I've seen that it was passed on through here.

I've missed that car very much and it's time for me to get a Skyline again. I'm back in the UK again so I've found one that I'm in the process of getting and having shipped over (fingers crossed it all works out and goes smoothly). Unlike my last one that I did all the modification to, this one is modified to almost exactly what I already want. This is one that was originally a GTS25 but has the NEO RB25DET in it. This was ideal since in a few years I plan to ship this car to the US and the engine type needs to match the body code/engine label. Since I'm still in the wait mode for its shipment and arrival, I'm fighting the urge to order parts for it already. One of the first things I'm hoping to change is the wheels, I've never been a fan of the three-spokes. So I'll be on the lookout for R32 or R33 GTR wheels. I already have my growing list of minor tweaks and mods for it and patience is not a virtue of mine...

Well I've got a shipment scheduled and have to eagerly wait two months for it to arrive. Already got a few things on the way for it, couldn't be patient. Led switchbacks to make the reverse lights also the rear fog. The Skyline rear lettering to try and return the original look to the body kit. Wish I could find the original R32 non-sticker gts25 lettering also, the part number's discontinued unfortunately. Also I gave in and ordered a tsurikawa ring for the rear, I actually ordered two since my old Laurel project car will need one once I get the bodywork done. That's what the ring is actually for, adding one to the Skyline is just a bonus.

I'm stuck impatiently waiting for this still, I received the documents this week. Now just wait until the beginning of December for it to arrive.

In the meantime to distract me... since I have to wait for it to arrive to plan some of it's upgrades, I've been gathering parts to upgrade my Dodge Durango's brakes to the Jeep SRT's 15" Brembos. That will help temper my need to modify things a little.

I also tried to find out a little more about the car I ordered. Here's the original site that made me decide I had to have this one: Æü»º ¥¹¥«¥¤¥é¥¤¥ó £Ç£Ô£Ó£²£µ²þ¥Í¥ª£¶¥¿¡¼¥Ü£µÂ® | B.I.O cars | Goo-netÃæ¸Å¼Ö¾ðÊó
It was originally listed in May, and this week I found a site that had it listed last year in December and what it had looked like then: https://carused.jp/car_list/nissan/skyline/ECR32/14122404535

I'll be looking forward to it getting here. I just hope the new shifter knob that I ordered arrives before it does. I plan to take that with and swap it out before the drive home.

The first of the parts from my impatience have arrived, the front strut tower brace and the brake cylinder stopper:

Yeah, it's something I would do, have new parts for a car that I haven't gotten yet. I just hope the new shifter knob shows before the car does...

In the meantime, with my distraction project, I've gotten all the brake parts for the Dodge Durango I have that's getting Jeep's SRT Brembo brake calipers. I still have to get the Jeep SRT wheels before I can install them. For a frame of reference, this is one of the front calipers... with my hat...

The front rotor (using an EBC USR slotted rotor) is 15" diameter, very impressive.
