Hello fellow drifters!

I am new to this, haven't got a drift car yet but I am aiming to get one for december/january time. looking to spend up to £1000 on a car then do the mods myself, may spend more on the right car though.

Aiming to get an E36 328 but will just need to see whats avaliable at the time.

I will be going to driftland to do the drifting, been a few times now and had a few passenger rides aswell. I will be doing the lessons they have there aswell soon, so I dont look like a complete noob when I actually get one lol

I had a e46 318ci when I was 18 and that was tail happy! since that I have been kinda hooked and had quite an interest in it, but not been able to afford to get into the sport.

Is there alot of people that run their drift cars on the road, i.e drive to and from the track?

welcome

Ill see you at driftland then. Yeah loads of us drive our road legal skidders down and back after a day of wheel slips without too much hassle. I think only once I had to get a trailer back

How far are you from the track but?

I will be coming through from motherwell area so about 30-45 mins away

Aberdeen, so about 100 miles and 2ish hours? usually make it there and back tho sometimes its a bit ropy but your next door compared to me so you'll be fine :)

Ahhh fair enough haha yeah I am much closer

Think I'm going to run one on the road until I can get a trailer

Do any of yous run a hydro on the road?

hydro in a bmw if your gonna have one, eventually though. jites never bothers cause he has a jap car and his handbrake is more useful than a bmw hat stand

I found a car that I may be able to buy within the next week or so... Question is will it be up to the task?! its an E36 316 saloon. Its only 500 which could maybe knock down a bit has coilovers on it and an aftermarket exhaust.

Will this have enough power to drift? Or should I hold out for a bigger engined bm?

by the end of this week I should have a 328i coupe ready with M3 LSD, buckets, harnesses, deep dish wheel, tow straps, £900.
It's located 2 miles from driftland and we've got a yard you can store it in there too (and we do track transport also)
Drop me a PM if this interests.

I'm sure I read on here at one point that on the E46's to make them decent for drifting you need to do something with the ASC or DSC or whatever it is??
Before anyone says I had a quick search but nothing to answer my question, may be searching for the wrong thing?
Any links or info would be appreciated!
