Hello guys! Ability vs hairdresser image?

Hello guys not new to this forum but only recently have I started posting usually just use it to find things out but I will be more active from now on. Been following drifting for a while. But due to other commitments only just after my first drift car now. I'm looking for a bmw e36. Will maybe consider an mx5. Just wondering does the drifting ability of an mx5 outweigh the hairdresser image???
 
I actually don't mind them just a few of my friends seem dead against them. Probably the safety aspect of having no roof.
 
I've had 4 MX5s and 2 E36s. MX5s win every time for me for the fun factor. Only reason a E36 is better is if you lazy/suck and want more power for skids.

I think MX5s look shit, but I don't give a fuck, unless you got top down nobody sees you in it, I don't bother with the looks, just use em as drift cars, and people are more impressed with someone who can drift an MX5 than the same drifting in other stuff tbh as they don't expect it.

Never had a single person say anything bad, ie gay, hairdresser, whatver, but thats probably because I look like a grumpy 6ft 17 stone mexican skinhead.

I see a lot of MX5s and think 'look at that faggot' but that's because who's driving it, I'd think that even if they were in something else, they just seem to be attracted to MX5s.

Yep, superb cars, fuck the haters. MR2 roadsters are similarly :euge: in reputation but are actually proper little weapons too :thumbs:
 
Overboost in Norway have them running BMW V8 with a turbo.

There's at least 1 LS one in the UK and at least 2 1UZ ones.

But power is NOT the issue. Until you can smoke 3rd in the dry in one at least, power is not what's holding you back.
