I'm Michiel and am in the process of buying an '99 Spec R S15

Can someone tell me what numbers/letter in the chassis code mean it is indeed a factory Spec R

Hi, It will have SR20DET for engine on the vin plate if it's a spec R.

It has SR20DET on it. so it's by default Spec R?

Yes, the Spec S plate would read SR20DE.
