Help car nearly cuts out around when cornering/roundabouts too fast

Nissan Silvia s14a, recently changed my fuel pump after a couple of days my car wouldn't start so I cleaned the spark plugs because they where wet and changed the pump back. The car still wouldn't start so I left it around 1 hour and it started. Now when cornering quick the car looses all power like the engine cuts out but the starts back up after a few second, any suggestions ? I've put the new pump back in and still the same issue.

Is there a pipe going to the other side of the tank and it’s not connected causing fuel starvation. Definitely fuel related to pump replacement anyways

What pipe do you mean ? You have 3 connected on top, inside I don't believe there are any pipes other then the ones connected to the fuel pump

Iv never had the pump out of one but in other cars there’s a pipe inside the tank going from the non pump side of the tank feeding the pump side so that both sides fuel go down at the same time. Someone else will know what I’m on about might explain it better

Have you cleaned up any electrical connectors and grounds? How is the pump wired in the tank?

Did you disconnect your battery during the pump install? Check and clean up the terminals and clamps with a wire brush. Sometimes this can cause the intermittent fault you are describing due to high resistance.

Is the pump pick up and screen filter attached correctly and tight?

How old is the fuel filter?

Check the vacuum hoses to the fuel reg. As suggested previously your wiring and connectors to the fuel pump and fuel control module if equipped.

Thanks for all that I appreciate it.

I'm unsure now as to whether it's a fuel issue.
My alternator belt is squealing on start ups I've tried to tighten it but no luck.

This morning I had to bump start the car.
When dropping into lower gears the belt starts to slip again.

I'm guessing this could be the issue I'm seeing ?

Yeah might pay to check if your alternator is charging properly. Throw a multimeter on it to see if it's pushing 14+ volts

Okay guys so I've topped my tank all the way up and the issue goes away ... What can I check now I know it stops with a full tank

when did you last change the fuel filter ?
sounds like you may have stirred up some sediments in the tank when changing the pump and its clogged the fuel filter , and now either pump wont work as good as it should.

you could first take off the return line at the tank and turn the ignition on to see if fuel is coming back through the return to the tank when the system is pressurized,
then take the fuel filter off and see if it comes out as fast as it did at the return line in the tank.

im thinking fuel filter or return line might be worth a check over , a full tank will take strain off the pump so it could also be low voltage to the pump (alternator or pump wiring)

this is where I would start anyway. you could also chase back the wiring from the pump and follow it towards the ECU and make sure it hasn't been trapped badly under the carpet or kinked badly in anyway over time
