HELP! gearbox issues

this is for my ford focus which i know isn't rear wheel drive but it is the daily driver ANYWHO,

couple days ago the bite point went down towards the floor much lower than normal - and had a lot of play in the clutch pedal. been having a few difficulties changing down a gear past 2 days.

TODAY very hard to put into gear, took it to work and got back in. WILL NOT go into gear nicely and is juddering and vibrating when in gear and not got accelerator on. OH NOOO - in eric cartman voice-

checked the lines - no leakage, checked the level of fluid - right on min line

ANY GUESSES PEOPLE?!

this garage trip is gonna destroy the wallet  lol

i was thinking that! i had a ganders and some people have said they have had their master cylinder's and clutch replaced and it didn't solve it so it could be air in the lines as well maybe? or some pipe problems? ARGH! lol :(

re-read your original post
its clutch related - you said the level was on the min? and the pedals biting point is on the floor almost?
i would sugest bleeding the clutch through, do it a couple of times so it replaces all of the fluid with new
check the cluth fork and make sure its operating correctly
if not that then prob the clutch is dead

WHAT?!??!!?!?!

one went on my m20'd e30

i decided to upgrade the clutch at the same time and ALL that cost 400 quid. i would be warey of what you jsut bought... that seems massivly ott

yeah i was tempted to beat the guy 70 quid an hour labour, 234 quid for transmission oil, new clutch assembly and slave, i asked them for the old components i saw the clutch it was 'half worn' as they put it, i said yeh and? i said no reason to change! grrr and the slave was pretty fucked yo! haha! oh well its up for sale if anyone wants a ganders Ford : Ford Focus Silver Edition 1.6 (open for offers), thing is like brand new HA! JUST DON'T GO TO BRIDGWATER FORD lol!

Um? Why did you pay?

I used to run a fleet at work and the idiots that worked on the van at fiat phoned the driver instead of me who booked it in. The driver said it needed new discs and pads. They changed em and when to the bill i said whats this? And they had no choice but to do it all for cost of the equal parts that i could get from euro. I.e no labour.

So i say you bent over willingly and you like a bit of the fudge packing imo.

dude you have to pay otherwise they no give car! can't not pay for work being that they have your home details, card details from previous and your keys haha thats a bad choice yo! I might up load a pic of the fucked slave haha!

no you dont.. why pay for work that you didnt want and didnt need done. they've conned ya pal

tbh, i think they saw you coming.

lesson learnt!
