Hi Driftworks from Barcelona!

Hello to all!

First of all I want to tell you that if you notice that my writing level is not correct is because I am a Little english speaker, so sorry if there are messy posts by me. :D

As I told I am from Barcelona (finishing mechanical engineering), I have signed up to DW because I like racing cars from child and looking by the internet I think that this is one of the best fórums: GREAT Project cars, good parts and car market... And as I can see on posts such a good people around the page .

I always owned bmw e36, now I got a e87 coupé (diesel ). With lots of efford and patience I am building up a race e36, just at the begining though...

Thanks to all, I wish I can give some things and experiences to you Driftworks people! Keep in touch!

I just got back from Barcelona! One of the few cities I would happily move to if I could find a job there. Love love LOVE that place.

Not many drift cars spotted in the city during the week I was there, just one low E36 parked in Poblenou which had some telltale destroyed tyre paint scrawks around the rear arch and weird stickers.

Most cars I saw parked on the side of the road seemed to have war wounds in Barcelona though! Some extremely over-enthusiastic parking manoeuvres going on maybe? Some of the streets are crazy narrow. Maybe nobody wants to fix dents on their insurance for fear of paying more?

It is a lovely place, and all around at hundred kilometers aprox. too

On the other hand I can tell you that I don't see nice (drift or race) cars at the Street either, i don't know if it is because the pólice pressure or the lack of people who lives that lifestyle...

There are old neighborhoods that is better walk, skate, ride a bike, etc. Since the last years there is Little poorness and people who have car can't repair it, or just give preference to other things.

There is maybe more interesting cars at the cities around BCN.

Yes indeed. I haven't really explored much outside of Barcelona (is Badalona worth a visit?) but there is plenty to see in the city even after many visits. This time I found the Mar Bella skatepark which was very near to where we stayed. Very cool.

Already planning another trip but with my friend this time. My girlfriend doesn't entirely approve of my deeply relaxing methods of ultra recreation whilst in the city...
