Hi,
I'm Rob, I've been a long time lurker/reader but never registered or contributed due to not really having a drift car.. I'm 29, from Gateshead and I'm a marine engineer and ex mechanic.
I've had a pretty typical car history, a few hot hatches, e46 bmw, na6 mx5, a few boring daily drivers and my current weekend/dry weather toy which is this:
my 1996 rev3 mr2 turbo, imported almost a year ago and has only done 1500 miles on uk roads, despite obviously not being a drift car I've enjoyed owning, driving and improving it - I won't bore anyone with a list of aftermarket parts here though.
due to a change in circumstances (namely a pregnant girlfriend) I need a more practical toy to go alongside my thoroughly boring but comfy avensis daily so I've just bought this through japaneseusedcars.com
which is, obviously, a tidy looking C35 laurel, with RB25DET(neo) and manual gearbox conversion.. along with that its got a set of WORK Varianza wheels and a car modify wonder bodykit.. its a grade 4/B with low kms so hopefully when it turns up its as nice as it looks in the pics
the plan is to fit the seat, harness, nardi wheel, boost controller and gauges from the MR2, see what other parts it's got fitted and hopefully have plenty of fun in it
Cheers,
Rob
