[TD]Hi here for sale is my HKS GT2540R Aka the Garrett GT2876R
Ball Bearing Turbo kit for an SR20DET complete with HKS stainless steel
tubular manifold, HKS actuator, Stainless steel Elbow and Heat resistant
oil lines.

Was going to use this on my S14 but plans have changed, turbo is capable of around
450bhp. I only bought this around a month ago from a well known chap off here and
because I know how turbo
shaft play can be I drove on a 200 mile round trip to pick it up so i could check the
shaft play before i bought it. So you can be assured its all good, there is a tiny bit of
movement but this is to be expected from a ball bearing turbo, there is always a
small bit of movement.

As you can see from the photo of the compressor wheel the internals are mint and
the last photo shows the car this turbo was fitted too, it was specced and built by
Abbey Motorsport who quite clearly know what they are doing. I will also include a
brand new SR20 manifold stud and nut kit.

Any questions please feel free to ask, will be sent fully insured on FedEx next day
delivery.

Will go on eBay tomorrow so if anyone if interested please let me know asap.

Any questions just ask feel free to drop me a text 07808 099197

After what I paid for it £950 inc. delivery will consider serious offers

To compressor wheel doesn't look mint to me looks chipped like it has been run with no filter on

Hi mate, I can see what you mean they do look chipped in the photo. I will upload some more photos to the listing tomorrow clearly showing the blades. They definitely look worse in that photo for some reason as you can see the smaller veins are fine. Thanks for letting me know

Also wouldn't have been run without a filter as it mounts in the stock position so would be completely pointless and also all the veins would show damage as the obviously spin at crazy RPM :)

That picture does look much better, 2nd question are your sure the turbo is an hks gt2540?

The reason being it should have an hks turbine cover like this

http://www.driftworks.com/forum/parts-sale-private-sales/201204-hks-2540-turbo-kit-sr20.html

To me it just looks like a standard 2876 turbo

I can assure you there is nothing wrong with the turbo, i am sure because the fitting for the oil feed is a different thread size between the standard turbo and the HKS turbo. If you are interested in buying the turbo feel free to bid on eBay if not please try not to clog up the thread.

I will be bidding on eBay and not trying pick holes in your thread only establish what I would be bidding on and the amount I bid will differ if it is not a has turbo.

I didn't ask if the was anything wrong with turbo, I asked if it was an hks turbo as you claim in this advert an on eBay. If it is a genuine hks turbo it should have much more than a different oil return, the compressor housing is normally different as per the link also there is normally an hks identification plate on the core. Does yours have that?

Hi mate,

I'll be perfectly honest I do not know all the differences between every different turbo model, there many well be more differences between that I am unaware of. It was sold to me as a HKS turbo kit and everything so far has checked out with regards to the oil fitting thread.

It doesn't have a HKS plate no, however you can see in the photo of the engine bay there is a HKS gt sticker just in front of the radiator. I know this is not conclusive by any means but I don't know whether the HKS turbos used to come with a sticker rather than a plate?

Happy bidding !!

They come with a Garrett HKS identification plate and/or an HKS Embossed compressor housing, not a sticker.

It depends when the turbo was made, that turbo is a hks version as he said due to the fact it has the different thread and pitch for the oil feed banjo
The turbo he's selling is over 10years old
Hks have only plated or stamped the inlet in the last 3-4 years
Where as they used to stamp the core with they're own hks plate in the last 5-7 years
Any older than that then you'll need to measure the inlet and exhaust wheel

Thank you for the info mate has helped clarify things
