Honda Civic 1.4 runaround

After 2 years good service including many long trips, many parts pickups and a house moving its time that the mrs Civic hatchback needs to go so she can tax and drive her new car :D

It has a 1.4 single cam engine with 105,000 miles on the clock although she is still using it daily around town at the moment.

Its got MOT until 11-02-2011 and tax until the end of march although either of those can be extended at buyers cost.

From our years of owning the vehicle it has never let us down once in over 10,000 miles motoring.

Its recently had new front brake pads and tyres and last service and a small service (oil change and valve clearance adjustment)

I suspect that it was owned by a youngun' before we had it as it had a red rocker cover, tinted rear windows and lowering springs. The lowering springs were replaced with standard items a year ago due to the ride comfort.

In all honesty the car is not the prettiest due to flaking paint and knocks and dings but it does look tidy all cleaned up and the inside does not show the cars age.

During the last MOT there were a couple of advisories which were :
Both rear trailing arm rubber bushes deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement
Nearside front antirollbar link has slight play

I can rectify these items if its a deal clencher as I have access to a ramp :)

The only other bad points to the car are that I think the baffles in the back box have started to go and the radio reception is not 100%

Also when we brought the car we had to get it VIC checked by VOSA (17-03-2009) as it had been a CAT D due to minor rear bumper and boot damage - I just realigned everything and adjusted to boot catch and its fine (I have the paperwork for this still). This does not affect the safety or the cost to insure the vehicle etc I just like to be 100% open :)

Ive tried to be as honest as possible about the car and hopefully that has come across so if you have any questions please do ask.

any more pics mate? any rust or rot anywhere thanks

Im trying to get the mrs to take more pics but she is struggling to get any lunch break at all at the moment and its dark when she starts and finishes. There will be more soon though !

As for rot there is none that I wouldclass as rot. There is obv some light surface stuff underneath but nothing anywhere near S13 rot

what sort of MPG does it do dude?

Im not 100% sure but I do know that when petrol was 122.9p you could fill it to the brim for £40 and get 320 motorway miles out of it at 70/75

I think that works out at 44.71mpg but id advise checking that :)

these cars are great! will go on for ever and take a beating to! and so good on fuel
