New member here from the states. Caught the drifting bug years ago when I read Initial D for the first time. A copy of the manga was actually included with a radio controlled car my parents got me. But enough about that as I'm in need of some advice. I found a old E34 for a great price, it's close by and has a manual trans. BUT... I already have a project car thats in the middle of an engine swap. It's far from complete so I'll still be sinking money into it, but I'd love to learn how to drift.
My first project is a first gen RX7 with a turbo swap, I consider it a classic and absolutely do not want to thrash on it.. too much. That's where the BMW comes in. Only problem is that I'm a student and only work part time, so owning two cars might be a bit of a stretch. I still have to pay the shop for the RX7 engine swap, but they haven't hit me with a bill yet. What should I do?
I could hold off on a drift car and get my RX7 to how I want it, OR I could buy the E34 and just keep it in storage till I'm ready for it. Maybe I'm just impantient, but I think this is a great opprotunity, espically considering on how this car is actually running and driving and not 400 miles away haha. If worst comes to worst I could sell it off, but I'd like an expert opinion before I make a decision.
