You know your lower control arms for the s13, do i need to use the gold bracket stopper? or can I get away with it cause im running geos and they cant go overcenter if im right? cheers guys

yeah thats what its ment for, BUT Im sure I read somwhere because im running geos my lock wont go overcenter so itll stop me from going any further? Im i wright or do I have to take it all off and again and fit them haha.

don't know about that kam. i don't run a lockstop on geo's. my rim touches the lower arm and also grinds my track rod end a bit but it doesn't go overcentre.

BTW just checking you've got the offset spacers DW sell?

yeah got the offset rack spacers dude. Just need a defo answer do I need them or not as i dont want to go to the drift day and find the car needs them. (btw will be the first shake down and driving of car haha)

Max, this is a pic of my setup. Iam not running any addition bump stop. the rod end stops on the lower arm. I have been rocking similar setups since 2009. Not dw lower arms but basically same thing.

My rack is moved forward 20mm btw and iam running fairly low caster. probably about 6* caster :)

Enough thanks :D

Cheers for the help dude, Ive come across a problem. I set all the front end up and found the lock wasnt that great. seemed more than stock but felt like there was more needed. Came across that I connected the steering wheel up in the wrong place on the rack. Now i set it all back up but when turning in now my geos hit the top of my lcas. so not giving me alot of lock. I know have too grind away the geos so theyll pass the lca when on lock. Il get a picture tomorrow. Btw im not running dw lcas either runing chinky shit for now. cheers for the help dude

No worries

your hubs hit the lower arm right next to the balljoint on the top?

mine was the same, i ground some material off of the hub. Howerer mine only rubbed on axle stands. once it was on the floor it had a bit more clearance.

Exactly the same mine dude, I was trying to sort the lock out so was on axel stands, but it was hitting the top of it. Yeah I ground a bit off aswell asleast I know if it clears up in the air i know it clears on the floor.

Last question dude. I dont know the name of it, but you know the control arms that come fornt the front of the car to the lca with two bolts. Do you tighten them up when the wheels are off the floor or on the floor? cheeers dude

Just Wang them up tight. You don't have to worry about bushes twisting when you take it off of the stands because you have rose joints allround.

one other thing.

if you remove the gold bump stop things you need to replace with washers or trim the long nuts down a little. the long nuts go through the lca and then the bolts go throgh the tension rods into the long nuts. It will not go tight if you haven't trimmed the nuts down or added washers to replace gold bumpstop thingy

mate seriosuly you are a true legend! if i make it to pembrey next weekend if your there aswell im yours for the day haha! Helped me and my old man out so much cheers

As said pictures,

Does the lock look alright for standard setup? anything look wrong ect. Me and my old man are pretty sure the set up is perfect now. Oh i do know about the bit where the wheel is hitting the anti roll bar and the tention rod.

This is full lock does it look enough to you guys

check your tracking mate. you have way more lock on trailing wheel and it could be because you have epic toe in.

you have offset spacers so you may need to cut the tie rods down a little bit to get the toe correct.

also check that the offset spacers are on the correct sides. iam sure i read similar symptoms from someone fitting them on the wrong sides.

and no worries chap, i was the one asking all the questions once and iam still asking questions everyday :D
