I need a T28 turbo!!

aaaagh kurashuuu!!!
I now need to sort a new T28 BB turbo by Saturday otherwise my week of working my arse off to get my SR swap done for Silverstone is all for nowt :mad: I'm in N.E Lincs...anyone know where I can get one reasonably near without me having to drive all the bloody way to Bradford (which I really haven't got time to do)? :confused: :cry:

Cheers for the pointer Rob, but I really want to get a brand new one. I've had very little luck with s/h turbo's in the past :wack:
 
just stick a T25 on it for silver stone and run loads of boost on it. (i.e. it doesn't matter if you kill it) Then get your turbo from bren as planned

I might have to do that anyway but the only turbo I have is a T25G from a 180SX that smokes a tiny bit. I really don't want a turbo letting go on this engine and dumping bits of bearing into the sump :no: :wack:
 
Go for a spin to Bradford then, mate (or send someone from round your way). Save hassle in the long run after all the work you've put in.

How come they can't deliver? They've always been good with delivery times when I've used them.

I don't know.. they reckoned they couldn't get it here by Saturday :wack: I've posted stuff to people before by special delivery on a Friday and it's arrived the next day. I haven't got the time to go there as I've still too much left to do. I think I'll have to order one and just fit the used one I have until it arrives. Pain in the arse having to change the turbo twice though :cry:
 
Order one, and fit the secondhand one tomorrow if it hasn't arrived. You can start on the job tomorrow, and a man of your koala bear will have it sorted for Sunday.
 
I have much sympathy with you mate although I can't help. Not the first time I've heard such a story, a similar thing has happened to me too, difference is, I got slated for daring to comment by certain loyal people.

I'm with the stick any T25/T28 on for now just so it works for now. Can't have you not able to compete at all!

THat's what I've done. I'm trying to get everything done so all I have left to do tomorrow is the turbo. If there's no disasters then I should be okay for Sunday :thumbs:

I guess Apex just didn't want to make any promises just incase for some reason it didn't arrive in time. Understandable I suppose :nod: I was a bit pissed off but hey that's life :wack: I can't argue with their price though :worthy:

Used turbo's are such a gamble. The T25G I have has smoke gently for a long time. The T28 I fitted to my CA had zero play in it but lasted two days :cry: Like I said, I really wouldn't want a used turbo to let go on my SR :no: AS my T25G has lasted so long in it's current state I guess it'll be alright for a couple more days.

I take it all back :o Apex rule and I'm a tool :wack: My shiny new turbo arrived in the post this morning! Yea! Apex are my new heros now :worthy: :D
