Hi guys

i am well in to my s14build now and hope to have it ready to run this weekend. Build thread to beuploaded soon.

i want between 350-400 bhp once finished so I’d like to know what parts ect yousuggest and the best way to get this power reliable.

Engine spec so far:

apex fmic
garrett t28r turbo
japspeed rad
iridium plugs
blueflame exhaust
Freshly re-built sr20det
forged bottom end

so as you can see there’s a lot more to upgrade.

things I’d like to know what’s the best management, who’s to go to for mapping,is it worth upgrading the inlet and ignition.

Educate me..

Firstly Ignore power figures, the only figures in life that really count is the one of a woman. Theres people out there who can out skid people who has 400bhp in there 260bhp power cars.

If you can skid already all well & good, if your powering up to make it easier id save a little before hand and get more track time. that you wont regret...

Anyway I have just built a forged SR, well Martin @ MB Automotive built it, in just the driver lol. The power is somthing else, a 28r will only do limmited bhp before your at its peak, im running a 2871r thats still small compared to other peoples.

Id not ask for loads of info but go to a knowledged base & speak to MB Automotive. remember more power is more fuel so need bigger injectors, then theres the ECU in on Nistune and have a z32 maf but you can go link and be mafless, more power also you will increase heat and cheap tubular manifolds start cracking so need a decent one of them, then an induction hardpipe as a stock one will suck & choke the engine, its all a learning curve but id get your cams done too.

I had 380 bhp with gt3071 , top mount (cheap one welded and braced will do just fine ) 850cc sard injectors, z32, ecu with nistune , external 38mm wastegate, mapped by Greg at protuner ! and a 255 walbro

t28r turbo is good for just over 300bhp so that would need upgrading.
standard injectors also max out at around 300bhp as does the air flow meter so they will also need upgrading and mapping to suit.
you also need an uprated fuel pump

okay as for the bhp figure its just something i want more than need iv drifted n/a mx5s turboed ones to last car was a 350z and before that an s2000. so i just want big power .

cheers for that i will be in contact
