Hi
I was wondering if anyone has imported a car through powervehicles before as was looking to do so in next few weeks

What was the cost of IMPORTING it like and are they any good

Cheers

Hi Steve

Haven't personally had any dealings with Powervehicles as far as i'm aware they are pretty reputable and have been around a while its worth nothing whilst most of the cars are heavily modified most of their vehicles are damage repaired or have had a "life" prior to export so i would always err on the side of caution like you would with any other car from Japan.

Regarding the cost as a general rule of thumb you have the vehicle cost + RORO shipping this will be around 700-900 for an average sized vehicle like a JZX chassis, import duty & tax roughly come to around 30% the car cost and shipping combined. most ports will offer customs clearance services each port is different but they usually charge between £50-£100 for this service

bought a car from Andy and Emily , all good , basically email them and they'll explain costs japan side , then its registration and mot here

I imported my s15 from japan via JAPWESTMODS , they have been a wonderful bunch to deal with . I was intially considering powervehicles but the entire process this side of the world i felt may have become complicated should things not move smoothly .

Our cost to do FOB for RORO is 80,000 Yen.

But on the U.K side, yes using a agent who can the help on import/tax/reg is good to help you along.
