Does the DCCD (variable diff thingy) act like a 2-way LSD when set to full lock ? Or is it something else
Here is a link to the manual

What do you peep's think of the Impreza Type R. Does it behave like a RWD car and a 4WD (depending on the diff lock) ? Only downside I can see to the car is a short 2nd gear (close ratio gearbox)

it only adjusts the Centre diff giving you more or less drive to the front wheels. They drive a bit like a RWD but not really as it's still 4WD.
So in other words :dermal: :dermal: :dermal: :dermal: :dermal:

But yes you can get them sideways but why buy a subaru clit :wack:

S13 / S14 / S15 / R32 / R33 / AE86 / FC3S / FD3S / soooooo many proper RWD cars :D

wouldn't have thought it'b be anything like a 2way diff in a rwd car, as the electric thingy is for the centre diff only?

isn't that what i just said you freak :wack:

All full lock dictates is the the centre diff is set to a max of 50% - 50% split or a min of 70% rear 30% front .

I dont understand how can a Impreza Type R be :dermal:
Bunta has a Type R (Takumi's dad) and he is the fastest man on mount Akina. Also anybody who smokes so many cig's can NOT be :dermal:
***IM STONED AGAIN***

Type R = Good Impreza

Good Impreza = Gay car on a drift forum

comparing a cartoon to real life = getting laughed at alot

at the Battle Magazine event at Tskukuba there was an imprezza .. RWD only ... and it fookin rocked ..

was doin really well until he drove it into the wall on turn 3  :wack: :smash:

there's a guy in the US with a N/A imprezza in black thats RWD he removed the front shafts
What i don't get is how you get round stopping the centre diff sending half your power forwards as such :wack:

Type R Version 6 is pretty near to the best car I have ever driven. Excellent car, nice brakes and gearbox, you can set the diff to be similar to a RWD well as much as you can for 4wd.
I would love to own one
Alex

There was a guy at the last OPT practice day in a RWD Impreza - he'd replaced the centre diff with one that only sends drive to the rear wheels.
He was doing OK, much better than I was.

:p :p

I was looking at a Type R Sti V3 for £8.5K Im sure he would come down to £8k. Does look like a lot of car for the money. These things can do 0-60 in 4 seconds. Which is totally irrelevent on a drift forum but still mighty impressive.
Ive driven a Impreza Terzo which didnt impress me. Was a bit boring on my favorite bend. Might take the Type R for a spin and see what I think.

I was also looking at a Supra TT. Its RWD and Ive seen JUN's impressive Supra. They have come down alot in price recently. A few manuals on in the trader for around £8.5k
