In need of a very cheap drift project car

posting for a mate who has unfortunatly had to sell his MR2 to buy a pick up for work :no:

we've got very little to spend. only 500 ish pound. :eek:

the car does not have to be road legal as the joy of having the pick up means that the car will be trailered to any events.
would prefer some thing jap but cant be too picky

let me know if anybody knows of anything suitable.

if its not for the road, you may aswell get something better than a 318 bmw, get a ropey old 200sx at least its turbo'd, and weld the diff :thumbs:
 
may i suggest a supra turbo ... they can often be had for around 500 notes... in not that bad condition 2, and id sooner one than a s13 i think...... or an s12 silvia, also a good buy!
 
I got a '91 200SX, was fully serviced (was v.smooth driver) but engine has started to rattle slightly at 3K/rpms, I haven't driven it since the rattle started, and brought replacement shells etc off Ratdat to fix it, outta time and other things taking priority at the mo so it's just sitting. Already stripped out, and bodywork isn't brill (dinks etc) from where it had been parked by previous owner. Looking for around £450 with the new shells etc. You would need to trailer it though as the oil was drained out in prep for doing the shells. Or fill it back up and drive it home :D

i have an rx7 FC non turbo, i will let it go for 250 pounds but it is need of welding work. let me know if your mate would be interested and i will put pics and details up.

Mate has a 320 Bmw an old x reg one really cheap!!!, runs well would make an ideal project learner car. Open to offers around the £150 mark. PM me if interested.

alot mate it needs new

inner and outer sills.
front floor pans.
inner rear arches.

the car is a great runner when warm, the previous owner told me the engine had a rebuild on 14,000 miles. however there are no recepts for this. the car does run very smoothly and the gearbox and final drive have no noises or crunching.

i feel that if your after a project car then this is perfect for it. the engine alone is worth more than 250.
