hi all. for the past few weeks my cars been giving me alot of issues, ive managed to sort most part of them out however, my reving when i pull form about 4000rpm to redline is very slow now, my car used to rev up quickly, but now i can hold second gear for like 5 seconds even tho my foot is flat down on the throttle, it boost well hold 0.82 bar of boost, but is just doesn't have the kick and pull it used to.

spec of car,
stock block and head
gt28r turbo (disco potato)
walboro fuel pump
full straight through apexi exhaust
greddy front mount intercooler and hard piping
apexi cone filter
stock injectors
uprated cooling
exedy lighten flywheel and 6 puk clutch
stock ecu management

also my car has vvt rattle if that does affect anything?

so if anyone can help answer why my reving has slowed down dramatically it would help alot thanks.

first thing id do would be clean the AFM with electronic cleaner stuff, they are prone to getting filthy and causing issues, then id do plugs and check for any boost leaks. Changing fuel filter also made my car run much smoother as they are often left untouched but for the price and ease of swapping a new one over you may as well

Try all of the above before you do anything else as they are free/almost free fixes if they work ;)

If its a big enough leak to cause that much of an issue I would have thought that if you rev the engine up you should be able to hear where it is coming from.

i had a similar problem and it turned out to be a huge boost leak in the hose just after the turbo, found it by poking my finger in! :P
He says in the title that it holds 0.82 bar of boost... i cant imagine he has a boost leak if it is boosting the same?

wastegate will just not open as much, the turbo can uphold a lot more boost, so a bit of a leak isn't gonna instantly cause it to not reach boost levels. checking for the leak would be best to just do by eye
