Its a good thing you can talk about street drifting on here...

Yer, fookin' Volvoooo!
Cos I found what I think is a third gear turn.On the road.
photo.cgi

A3, southbound, halfway up the uphill section of the Devils Punchbowl. Its a 90 degree right hander.
Its like something out of a Touge run, with crosshatching eitherside of the lane and the added excitement of Armco on the inside and A rock cliff face on the other!
However, I will refrain from drifting it. To do so would require a 60mph entry speed, minimum. I for one do not have conkers to take it on!
Tempting though, dont you think?

Well, if we're talking about Junctions...
http://www.multimap.com/map/photo.c...m=0&scale=10000&multimap.x=398&multimap.y=230
M25 junction 16 with the M40 coming north from the M25 onto the eastbound carriageway of the M40.Massive, massive loop, almost a full 270 degrees, however its got that high grip tarmac coating all over it. I would think you would fry a set of tyres by the time you got to the end of it. Not to mention the insane entry speed you would need.
Still, imagine the sense of acheivement!

one day well look back at this and think, what was all the fuss about i could drift that with my eyes closed and my hand taped to the wheel!

Can't wait for that day :D

I still say my one is best !!! ;) ;)

But only because it doesnt require silly entry speeds, and because the route loops back on itself you can do it over and over again !!

trust me its awesome !

Cheers

Anyone else think its a really bad idea to post locations on what is essentially a public forum? Anyone could be reading this, call me paranoid or whatever but its not something id do... I'll leave it to your own discretion guys, just my 2 cents.

Yeah it does worry me a bit, It'd be very easy to lose your licence if your seen at these locations drifting.
I know we all do it but what happens if you get caught (again :o )

Astraboy, that first one you mentioned is awesome, i used to drive it daily, and its great the way it goes downhill from there and there are a number of other corners you could drift (if you could gurantee theres nothing coming the other way). That said i've never have the knackers to drift it due to lack of skill and fear of losing my liscence.

Paz and other admins,

If you guys wanna close the thread down feel free, if theres something on Japukmeets we dont like it gets closed off.

I had a feeling this post may be a bit risky.....maybe it should be deleted and the locations kept a bit more shtum.

Cheers

Paz and the other admins:
The locations I have posted are pipe dreams and pipe dreams only. I have neither the car, skill or nerve to drift any of the locations I have posted. I started this off as a "Places you'd like to drift but cant because of xxxx reason" thread.
Feel free to close it if it offends though.

Keep it safe!
