Jap import Levin hatch with 20v silvertop

Mux213

High on rubber
Hey Guys,

Sorry the add is in dutch but I saw this and I couldn't resist posting it here. You driftworks guys probably remember it cause it participated at the geldredome.

http://www.marktplaats.nl/index.php...%3D%26rv%3D30%26submit%3DZoek%26av%3D%26pv%3D

It was imported from japan but never put on papers, it was used for 24hour races until this guy bought it, he's just played with it alot on zandvoort circuit and thats about it. As far as I know there are no papers available for the car so I am not sure if it can be made road legal, I doubt it, even if you have the papers its probably modded to far. Still you could ask the seller, possibly its still on jap papers, if they are still somewhere....

If someone wants a translation let me know:)

Babelfish is rubbish:

That could interest one or two people around here :wack:

*edit* btw, these are the pictures taken at geldredome by Art, if you look about half way you see a couple of pictures of this car including the engine bay:

i'll try to translate it :)

For sale, Toyota Corolla AE86 1.6 20V Silvertop (very rare)
Jap import, RHD (with a 16V)
It is a racing car, not a streetlegal one!!

It is blue, is in quite good condition, damage is well repaired (didn't damage it myself!)
Nice car to do a racecourse or to drift (which i did :))

It was build as a racecar when new, so it has ABS and absolutely no rust!!

specs:
- Ex 24H racer (weighs approx 850kg)
- Full cage (from front struts to back struts)
- 1 bucketseat with 4 point belt
- special fuel tank, with normal and quik fillingcap, superlight and 80liters capacity
- lexan windows, except frontwindow
- Snap-off steeringwheel
- powercut 2x 1 outside and 1 inside the car
- Fuses on home-made rustfree steel (dunno the exact translation for this :S) with various gauges
- Special Exhaust (4-1) manifold
- Koni Yellow suspension (very low n very hard :))
- Possibly with Koni adjustable set (not included in price)
- Suspension changed with Uniball-suspension, (battle version) rear en front axle (no rubber used anymore)
- LSD with oil cooler, discbrakes with new calipers
- Front brakes are AP Racing 4 Pot callipers with big disks
- 15" wheels possibly with slicks
- 5 speed gearbox and a spare box
- Light flywheel with race clutch (AP Racing)
- New radiator, extra thick

It's almost ready-to-race, i drive it once a month on Zandvoort track, i keep doing that untill it's sold

Every time something brakes, i fix it with new parts

Car is fully spot-welded and inside and bottom are sprayed in blue aswell, no tectyl!

Engine is a 4A-GE 16V with sharper camshafts and twin weber carbs approx 150 bhp, but there will be a Silvertop 20V with twin webers (approx 180 bhp) swapped in
There is a spare short-block for the Silvertop.

These cars gonna be the new rage in Holland to drift with
When i'm driving on Zandvoort, BMW's are not match for me (certain in corners!)
It's very fast with the 16V engine and there'll be another extra 30 bhp when the 20V is installed.

It is for sale because i'm building a new drift project, again a RWD Corolla.

Photo's only on request

Read the text below very carefully

CAR ISN'T MADE FOR THE NORMAL ROAD, NO LICENSE AND NO PAPERS!!

Don't bid if you don't know what it is, or if you haven't got the money for it!

You can have a testdrive with it, but only when zandvoort is open to drive

Bid below €5,500 is useless, it won't be sold for less

Did my best on translation, sorry if some things aren't right

Pics i made of the car:

Hows exactly is that a 20v? The cam covers are 16v the dizzy position is 16v? A 20v with either need a hole in the firewall or dizzy off the cam.
Would love to know if you can run the dizzy in a 16v position because I have never seen it before
Alex

i think hes saying that he is going to fit a 20v for the sale. Why he would do that i really dont know

it is a 16V engine now.
I think he's gonna install that 20V engine because he can't get rid of it :)

He's trying to sell it for a few months now, nobody wants that engine i think.
A 16V is very easy to sell (easier then a 20V engine ;))

I've seen this in the flesh and it's well sweet  Proper race prepared car with full on chassis bracing and a sweet exhaust system :)

infact, is that my photograph of the engine bay above? :p

edit -- hmm, maybe not my picture... in that case I have some more. I'll whack them up shortly
