1957anglia
New Member
Hiya guys. I have a 1957 ford anglia 100e which I am rebuilding and decided on fitting a 4-age 16v engine with bellhousing for a type 9 sierra gearbox before even buying the car. I'm seeking quite a lot of advice as I am very new to jap power.
As we all know eBay is very dangerous and the other night I bought the 20v version of the 4-age from a rotten Toyota levin. I was hoping with a ecu I could get about 180-200bhp. After paying the guy mentioned it's an automatic. I thought it would be a lot of hassle to convert to manual.
Question is -
Can anyone tell me what involved in the auto/manual conversion
If I can't convert for reasonable money I will sell both the 16&20v bellhousing and gearbox and get an sr20det
Please let me know what you think as I'd really like to do something different in a car this old
Cheers
