Morning all,

Im looking at starting my next project soon and want to basically go full forged close to 500bhp from a SR,
Jdmgarage have a few forged motors that pop up now and again and wondered if anyone on here has any history with a engine bought from them? if the engines are built well?

Or if you guys/girls have a better suggestion for a reliable builder for SR'S

There are other engines that probably would be more reliable but want another Sr.

If you want that much power from an SR you should really have the peace of mind from having an engine built yourself rather than picking up second hand. There will always be unknowns

Are the engines they have listed as new forged built ready to go not as new as they claim?
 
I dont know, im just saying if you want to push the limits of an SR then it would make sense to have one commissioned and built to your own specification. Im not big on SR's but i would imagine it would need a stroker kit or maybe a VET (i think?) top end.
 
the white rocker cover sr20 on the site has been built by DY Engines which are a reputable company based in Bristol i'm led to believe. Can't comment on the other engines though
