We are now accepting applications for the position of Logistics Controller.

This is a full time permanent position at Driftworks Ltd in Birmingham.

Responsibilities:


The picking, packing, booking on, dispatch, tracking and organisation of every parcel that leaves a very busy mail order company. This can be up to 120 parcels a day comprising of up to 400 products.

Handling all incoming stock, shelving products and keeping the stock room in order.

Pre-packaging kits.

Dealing with tracking enquires, and handling all communicating with all our couriers.



You must be:


Incredibly thorough, organised, tidy and meticulous – On busy days, it can be a very demanding job to dispatch all parcels on time without any mistakes – The responsibilities of this position are key to retaining our high level of service and reputation, so we expect as close to perfection as possible.

You must be physically strong – A lot of our parcels are very heavy.

You must have good communication skills – You will work in a busy office, working side by side with our customer service team.

You must be competent with computer.

You must have a reasonable understanding of car parts- The majority of our parts do not have part numbers, so you will need to learn what each of our products does, and what they look like.


Details:

Hours: 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £14,000 to £15,500 p/a based on experience.
Holiday: 28 days p/a including national holidays and our two week Christmas break
Start date: 01/05/11

Man, for 22k right now I'd do all the above and become the official team fluffer. :wack:

If it were 16k+ I'd definitely apply as I have all that experience. Just can't give up my current job for less, which is annoying. Although I might fire a cv over anyway if there's a staff discount on parts.
