JZX100 1JZ-GTE downpipe / basic tuning

At the moment all thats done is a FMIC, HKS panel filter and 3" exhaust from downpipe back. No cat or centre box or anything.

I'm looking at replacing the downpipe to free up some more power, what would people recommend? Whatever the case I'll probably need to import anyways. Don't think you can buy any from the UK?

Do I need a restrictor ring/boost controller to stop boost spiking? Is there much point upgrading the fuel pump with these done?

I just want to get as much as I can out of it without upgrading the turbo, injectors, ecu etc. Any help appreciated.

I was thinking of the turbo outlet itself, saw that HPI did a combined one and just assumed that there were other similar designs.

Id upgrade the fuel pump whatever, even if you weren't thinking of tuning it anymore. Better to be safe than sorry for the sake of £70-80.

I bought the full HPI one from Japan at the start of the year, turbo outlet and decat in one. Changing the downpipe makes a good difference on these cars. Mine spiked once I changed even with an EBC so put in one of the restrictor plates in and it was fine after that.

As eurospec says no harm changing the fuelpump for piece of mind since its such a cheap change.

You could up the boost a little and get some more power. I think it will hit boost cut around 1.2bar if I remember correctly.

Yeh I think I'm going to do the same. How much did it work out all in? And where stick the restrictor plates? Link if possible please?

Think I'll just buy the full HPI one, boost controller and a fuel pump and that should do me. Only boosting 0.7bar at the minute and it's quick enough for what I need.
