JZX100 Chaser service parts / other parts

I've only had my chaser a couple of months, it's a 1998 tourer v. Single turbo, vvti, factory manual. I'm not too clued up on what to use / where to buy parts for them. I came from having an s13 with parts readily available, unlike the chaser. Lol

Was just basically wondering what service parts to use for them as I want to do one asap. What oil, filter, plugs etc would you recommend? Engine mods atm are a FMIC, HKS panel filter and 3" straight through from downpipe back.

What parts do they share with other Toyotas? I assume I can use some parts from soarers etc? Can I use discs/pads/track rods/arms/ball joints from other Toyotas that were made in the UK?

Any help appreciated, cheers

In terms of general service parts they are readily available

Oil filter is shared with the 1JZ GTE, personally i got a K&N one from conceptua but this was only because i heard the oem toyota ones had changed supplier and were now some cheap chinese filters.

Spark plugs again are shared, i got them from Driftworks - NGK BKR8EIX (hotter or colder depending one what you're doing)

Oil, i went for 5w-30 Titan Pro S based on a bit of research however i might go a bit thicker in future to 5w-40

The brakes are shared with the is200 so are readily available, i got brembo discs and some cheap pads to tide me by. I would strongly suggest looking into a jza80 supra brake conversion or some other upgrade as i feel they really are too small for the car.

Track rods, arms and balljoints i am yet to look into properly. But from what i have read you have to buy the whole front upper arms to replace those balljoints and they are not cheap.

Hopefully that gets you started :)

Also all parts are readily available from Toyota. Personally Id never use anything other than genuine Toyota filters, an oil filter is only a tenner

Cheers [emoji106] I've been advised buy numerous people to use 10w60 fully synth. That's what most people seem to be using over here. Either millers, Mobil or fuchs?

Are the filters the same between the twin turbo non vvti and single vvti ones?

For plugs I think I'm going to stick with the BKR6EP stock ones for now. Still running standard boost, haven't changed downpipe or anything yet. Will change for 7's whenever I get a new downpipe and have the boost set at 1 bar?

With regard to the oil filters my only reason for not using toyota was because they changed from denso to some other cheaper supplier.

And i'd be hesitant to go to such a heavy oil like 10w-60 on a car that has 5w-30 or 10w-30 as it's recommended oil from factory (written in the bay) any reason behind the recommendation ?
