Been looking at jzx's and they tick many boxes (1jz sound), but how are they on fuel on motorway? Not overly bothered with city mileage as my e36 barely gets 20mpg. Thanks.

I just got mine and drove the 144 miles back(motorway miles) only did quarter of a tank at 70mph,I would say a easy 20mpg maybe 25+

My usual view on this is, if you have to ask you probably cant afford it. Same with cost of parts, they aren't as readily available as bmw stuff so you have to factor that into ownership too.

I have the 1jz Soarer and it's a gutsy b*stard around town but driving it home from Bristol I got about 20/25mpg.

By looks it has similar fuel economy to my bmw, which is fine. Have thought about parts as it would be daily.

I don't have any exact numbers but from my experience when I picked up mine and took it home the first time I think it took half a tank (of a 70L tank) for me to drive it from Bristol to Manchester. That's never taking it much about 3000-3500k and cruising.

Day to day it's way worse then my old MX5 I'd say it uses 30% more fuel. But we're talking about short runs within the city so it's only been warmed up for 10 mins before It's parked up again.

My jzx90 will do 100 motorway miles for around £20 / £25 worth of high octane (includes a little bit of slow moving traffic and A roads). I drive it slow and smooth and its ok on fuel - no idea what that translates to in MPG though
