Kaaz Diff fitting issues.

Bought the following:-

KAAZ SUPER-Q LSD DIFFERENTIAL FOR NISSAN SKYLINE R32/R33/R34

SKU: KAAZ-NISSAN-SKYLINE-WPC-KAAZ-SBN2645-WPC

It was all straight forward until the half shafts were fitted. No matter which way round the half shaft on one side would not push fully home. When it was taken apart we found a washer that is blocking the shaft!!

Now if it was central inside the diff then I believe the shafts would locate, but being on one side I cant help but think its a manufacturing issue.



Can any confirm that it shouldn't be like this

Not sure about the washer but I know if it's assembled with the half shafts out it's nearly impossible to slide them home without binding or getting stuck. Someone with more knowledge will probably be able to expand upon it but that's what I read when reading up how to swap centres.
 
Yeah we've done lots of diffs and don't usually have an issue.

Just found out that the half shaft for an S14 fits perfectly as they are 10mm shorter, but cant use as the bolt layout is different.

Starting to think I've been sent the wrong diff
 
I had this issue very recently too with a new Kaaz. Basically I had the wrong shafts! I got the right shafts and one was very slightly longer than the other. I put the slightly longer one in the wrong side by accident and ended up bending the washer and it came loose!!!! All I did was knock it out of the diff using a long screwdriver and a hammer, so I have no washer anymore. I swapped the shafts around and everything fit nicely. From what I can tell that washer was only there so the correct length shafts were used in the correct sides.....I cant see how it would have anything to do with diff operation (internet searches revealed no information on this)....after it came loose inside there was no way I was going to leave it in there anyway! Still need to fit the diff to the car so will let you know how it goes but I don't see there being any issues :)
