Kaaz diff question

Hey guys,

Looking to go a step further (as the s14a isnt selling) and fitting an aftermarket diff to it.

Can you please explain the differences between 1.5 and 2way diffs for me, my car's used on the road most of the time...does this have an impact on what one i should choose?

Also....how difficult are they to fit? Would you recommend i get a garage to fit it? How much will i expect to pay for fitting?

Sorry...so many questions :) lol:smash:

Hi, most people won't notice any difference at all between 1.5way and 2way, the only time you really notice it is high speed braking into a corner or shift locking, none of which you should be doing on the road :wack:. The 2way is readily available and we usually keep some in stock, the 1.5way is a special order that has to be manufactured in Japan..

Fitting depends, I know Steve C recently fitted one to someones car very easily, I'd prefer to get it fitted and the ring and pinion set correctly, which will cost between 100 and £200 depending on how much shimming it needs. Any transmission specialist should be able to do it for you, it's no different to setting up a normal diff :)
