hiho folks, this here is a "what would you do" -thread...

i did it again, i spend my whole salary on a corolla ke70 thats rusting away:wack::wack::wack:

here in thailand popular turbo engines like the SR20's, jz's, 3s's,... have prices through the roof now(twice as much as i spend on buying the car lol)

so as i don't wanna spend too much on the car i still need to have fun so i only imagine putting a small turbo on the 5k engine i already have(donna what the result gonna be lol) or just putting a 1uz n/a in it(same price as the car:smash:)

just can't make up my mind what way to go... what would u do?

I've been debating the same thing for my corolla, and I've decided on the v8 simply because the 1UZ will deliver a reliable stock 260hp all day every day, whereas a turbocharged 4age will maybe make equal power and be a lot less reliable in the long run.

ok folks, so it be a v8 :D

i don't really have the money to put a 2jz manual tranny on it soon and a 1g or 7m tranny most likely is not gonna hold up long, u guys think it will drift completely stock with the auto tranny?

i found a shitload of info on controlling a jz tranny like tiptronic but couldn't find anything on 1uz's a341e tranny so far :(

If you staying n/a the 1G or 7M manual box will hold up fine.

But there's loads of upgrades and manual shift conversions and so on for the A341E, mostly in Australia, but it's quite simply DIY stuff it seems.
