£1800 or px for something small and convertible for summer: MX5, CRX, MR2, etc.
Low mileage very clean example, well looked after with regular servicing. Imported from Japan in 2006 (with auction certificate) so no body rust at all and very clean underneath. Engine bay is also very clean. Car has just been for full service with fluid and filters being replaced, engine oil, diff oils, gearbox oil, brake fluid, power steering fluid, fuel filter, oil filter, air filter, all done by a jap specialist.
Permanent AWD, twin turbo 2L boxer engine, very quick, very roomy.
Good points: uprated suspension (shocks and springs), JDM prova ECU upgrade, automatic climate control, tinted windows, speedline alloy wheels new tires only about 500 miles run on them. Interior in great condition but with usual wear to drivers seat consistent with age. Double DIN headunit (CD/radio/minidisc) as well as the usual power steering, electric window, electric/heated mirrors, etc. Never been run above standard boost.
Bad points: very small patch of peeling lacquer on the top of the boot, the radio is Jap so will need a converter to tune into UK frequencies, electric aerial doesn't come up.
A very tidy and well looked after car with plenty of room and plenty of power on tap, runs very smoothly, starts immediately, no smoking from turbos.
