Skid Skid Skid.
So, i was planning to go Lydden for the first time early this year but just missed out :euge:! So, moving on from that i'm looking to see what's around. I don't care for distance, just trying to come up with a list of places to look!

So far the list i have is as follows, Is there anywhere else you guys know of?

Seems Knockhill are starting to come around to Drifting as well with some paddock set-ups when "N/A Nonsense" organise events with them.

Crail? Although its not a circuit. Its an old airfrield with a quarter mile strip on it, an 8val and they some times open up a big track.

Kings Lynn have a drift day every month. Its a small kidney circuit on the infield of a speedway track. Quite small but cheap and cant argue for a day of skids (door bashing optional)

Theres also Swaffham run the wall, not sure how often it runs and ive never been, looks like a banger track and the clue is in the name.

Both East Anglia way.

Thanks added both of them to the top list

Brilliant list.

By the way Buxton Raceway is in Derbyshire not Manchester..about 30 mile between them..lol..they hold drift weekends from March to November including 2 Competion Weekends. If you have a look on my Threads l listed the dates in December.

Another Drift place is the Anglesey Circuit in N. Wales..however l've emailed them twice previously for datss but had no reply.

Thanks, added the details. WIll add anglesey later as rushing out of work! Cheers

Great work and a useful list.

Don't forget Smeatharpe which is a coned layout on concrete. Also, Silverstone have run drift days in their car park but not for a while.

no point going to knockhill unless you get to go down duffus, the paddock is sorta like going to crail. driftlands still the best bang for bucks up here especially at winter.

Seemed like Broon (noisy SC 350Z) and Jeek got down Duffus on the last day, not sure how much of the "norm" that is though.
But yeah Gordo, for obvious reasons, I agree with you on Driftland.

Birmingham wheels days are ran monthly by 'skidrisk' they are about £45 per day. They use the main oval and a secondary figure of eight/donut area for beginners.

'flatout factory' also run events at the same venue. They charge £99 but IMO it works out better value as you will get more seat time.

santa pod days tend not to run in the summer.

Great idea for a Calender, here are some more dates and info for you,

Dakota Drift (Smeatharpe) dates: 19th March, 7th May, 8th October, 12th November
Coned track on airfield, you can take passengers but it is extra.
Tickets available a month before the event on Straightliners website.

Spitfire Raceway (Perranporth Cornwall TR5 0XS) dates: 27th Febuary, 7th May, 16th July, 24th September,3rd December.
Perranporth is a coned airfield track.
Tickets available a month before the event on Straightliners website.

Pembrey dates should be out soon on the facebook site 'Drift-inc sessions'
Pembrey do events on the main racetrack and on the go-kart track. The go kart track is excellent and well worth a visit as you won't get bored of it. The main racetrack is very fast. They also do some great weekenders and there is a good atmosphere in the paddock with everyone staying over.

Also worth mentioning with Pembrey that to go on the main track, roll cage is required. Vey fast and loads of fun though.

What kind of cage is required? Is it as long as you have any form of cage or does it have to comply to certain criteria?

Great list - What would be really handy, although not sure how possible, would be if Driftworks could have a calendar section where all the drift events can be added? Gives a one stop place then to know whats happening and when. ATM it is so spread around it takes lots of searching and figuring out when what is happening where.

With regards to the list on this topic, its really easy to do a google custom maps with the locations added. I know theres the global one mentioned above, but I think it would be worth doing a topic specific one for the UK guys as there may be locations missed.
