Hi guys quick one whats the issue with lexus why doesn't no one drift them ie the 300 I a 2jz init :/ also what's the aftermarket parts like for the bodywork on theses 2 also prices best paying for the 2 (rough guide) thanks

Is 200s can be got for less than a grand.
Is300s are usually above 2 grand.
Not many people skid them because they are underpowered and have shit Lock.
Body work parts hard to get hold of and expensive.

Awesome cars in terms of chassis + suspension but require a bit more work/money to make them good skidders.

JZ's also drop right in :D

Thanks guys isn't the jz already in the 300 there must be someway to make more lock onvisly wise fab etc are out the question but got to be a few bits available

Wisefab isn't completely out the question.. I'm going to make a Supra subframe fit my Altezza so I can use wisefab:thumbs:
And as above, Figs Engineering do a lock kit too.
Rear arms & bars etc are also available from Figs, and Megan Racing and few other places..
You can also cut and weld your steering knuckles for a cheaper way to obtain more lock, aswell as lock spacers.

Regarding engines, yes the 300 is a 2jzge, vvti, and awsome.. It's easy enough to turbo it should you want to.. Although the standard management can't deal with boost so you'll need an aftermarket ecu that can.
Iv done a fair few 1jzgte conversions which work very well, not a cheap exercise though.

Bodywork parts are easy to get, I have a full Touring Car Bodykit for mine, my friend makes & sells the kits.

They're used a lot :S

I wouldn't say they are rare drifters!

I think the lock and the 150-170bhp is the issue.. and maybe weight

They require work. IS300s don't come as manuals in this country and without a considerable investment in a NA-T conversion aren't that quick or tunable for the money. The IS200 engine isn't anything special and the gearbox is supposedly made of chocolate.

The Altezzas are a bit of a wild card, but pretty rare and lose points for lack of JZness :D.

Great info guys thanks It's just I ain't seen many and there soo cheap personlly I'd rather have one then a bm personal opioion I'd get a supra na manual gearbox if I got a 300 like

There was a guy selling a is200 for like £15k it was sick with a jz and full bodykit...

Will give you some ideas of where you can go with these cars
