I bet you already know this guy, maybe it helps/inspires?

and this guy from Italy?

thumbs up for your commitment and efforts :thumbs:

Great to hear OP. Good luck, the soarer is a ace looking car and with a JZ cant go wrong.

There was a dude in Japan (Yoshida-san from Weld, JZX100 Cresta) who used hand controls aswell and drifted like a boss! :D So it can be done as we know. Keep us posted.

FOUND IT!

lol i watched that video of the jap guy over 7-8 years ago and thats what made me buy my toyota celica gt4 , which after seven years is running over 500hp fully built engine gt35 etc etc and still fully manaul h pattern and clutch but all on hand controls ,ive followed rob parsons aka chairslayer a while but been honest i was street drifting auto e36s before he was even in a chair lol only in the last 12 months i started doin drift days to the point i now want a comp spec car so if or when i decide i can enter some ametuer rounds but ill wory about that at a later date lol ,a few will know me on here from skidrisk ,ill be building the soarer up gettin the handling chassis engine etc done first then convert to a manual gearbox maybe next year as i know the auto is capable as keith clark drifts a auto in the idc also a paralegic ,so ye im not new to sliding cars or high power just now im banned due to silly antics on the road im concentrating on a track only car now ,literally just arrived home with some mono pro hsd and ordered the complete japspeed adjustable arm set ,nice 2k blown today lol ;)

LMFAO! Yeah its easy to blow now adays with options like DW arms and HSD's etc.
Yeah its a old one but a classic imo, first time I had ever seen something like that and I was amazed. Will you be looking to do a similar setup with your steering wheel to the above?

How do you convert the clutch to a hand control in the GT4? Any pics mate?

my gt4 uses a duck clucth with over ring accelerator and push brake same as above japanese drifter ,ill be develeping my own kit for the soarer but using a gearchange system like chair slayer aka rob parson ,add my facebook john ron lawton or instagram team legless ,thow most pics on facebook

its one lever push brake pull accelerate pretty simple really obviously the e36 was auto aswell with m50 inlet remap 3.0 m3 lsd poly bushed etc etc ,you can just see in vid to bottom right of wheel my hand pushing and pulling it lol , soarer should start takin shape next few weeks ordered a 6 point weld in cage double door bars harness bar double rear cross bar and two extra bars to rear and between seat connecting main loop ,picked a hks fcon gold and harness last week with mapping software ,will go about fitting all the adjusable arms and suspention when its in having cage welded in by a frind who owns retromotorsport local to me and sort the hubs out etc for more lock ,then onto wheels and hand controls and get out have a play before gettin the parts together for a single turbo convertion

Props to you man, that's cool.

Are they custom mods or do company's sell complete kit's?

Does the smaller wheel have you brake and clutch controls?

for automatics theres a company that makes kits which i had go on a course be bale to supply and fit , teh manaul is more custom thow they were made by a company but take alot more to install and set up , the ring on wheel is accelerator only so you can steer and accelerate with one hand ,there a push lever at left side the wheel for brake then the clutch is a lever well trigger type thing on top f the gear lever to a large servo type unit that works fly by wire and 1 to 1 ration so as fast or slow as i pull lever the clucth pedal gos in and out at same rate ,thats madein italy and very exspensive and complicated set up ,im hoping this year with help from some people i know to develope a simpler cheaper easier to set up andd install clutch system
